Can You Have Two Ceiling Fans In One Room
I ve got two ceiling fans in one room wired into a one 3 speed switch.
Can you have two ceiling fans in one room. Is your ceiling fan turning on and off on its own even when you re not in the room. Weather you have 1 remote controlling 4 fans or 4 remotes with the same code controlling 4 fans it will be chaos like herding cats. I can t decide where to place the fans. That s why the company big ass fans makes big ass fans.
Or if there s a problem on how the fans and switch. Plus there is no difference in speed of the fans on low and medium speed. Some rooms are simply too large for a single ceiling fan or the ceilings are so high that it makes more sense to use 2 fans instead of one. We have to use the wall switch to turn off.
Don t call the ghost busters just yet. Next time you re looking for a ceiling fan check the label. I don t know whether to divide the room in half and put one fan in the center of each half. Don t know if the switch is just not rated for the combined service of the 2 fans.
A better alternative would be two ceiling fans each one sized for. The tv will be on the 12 wall. I have a covered outdoor lanai area that is 21 feet by 12 feet with a 8 foot ceiling. I have a 12 x 20 room.
The fan located closest to the switch runs faster than the other. What can we do. Or whether to divide the room into thirds and put one fan at the first third point and the other at the second third point. Cannot turn the light off and stays in low speed only with noise.
Bigger is better with ceiling fans. We have tried changing setting inside remote with no success. While you re checking those labels you may notice a correlation. This drop in airflow means that a rectangular room with a fan in the middle will leave large sections of the room untouched by any breeze.
In general rooms that are larger than 20 x 15 will be better served by 2 moderate size ceiling fans rather than 1 large fan. If 1 fan does get out of sync then it will be nearly impossible to correct. If i center one fan in the middle of the room it will be directly over the couch. The seating area will take up about half of the room in essence splitting the room in two.
Most ceiling fan remote controls come with the factory set frequency. The fans with the longest blades have the highest efficacies and those with the shortest blades have the lowest. The ceiling fan s effectiveness can only be felt if you re standing directly under it or less than two feet outside the fan s radius. One operates fine but other one will not operate light and speed with remote.
If i equally center two smaller fans one would be over the coffee table and the other would be in centered in the other half of the room.
